Hilti labels assets with a rugged tag or a QR code; if you want automatic tracking, you use Bluetooth tags and gateways. According to its data sheet, the AI T320 tag runs for about four years and only works with an active subscription.
Scanwiz relies on what your business already has: your team’s phones and the barcodes on tools and packaging. Where there’s none, you print a QR label. On a site without signal, bookings are made offline and transferred later.

How much does Hilti ON!Track cost?
On its ON!Track page, Hilti gives the cost as an individual quote after a consultation. The publicly available subscription agreement of Hilti Deutschland AG contains a price table for the base module: €95 a month for up to 250 assets, €195 for 500, €295 for 1,000, €495 for 2,500, €745 for 5,000 and €1,145 for 10,000, each plus VAT. Hardware such as Bluetooth tags and setup come on top.
How much does Scanwiz cost by comparison?
Scanwiz costs $49 a month for up to 500 items and $165 for up to 2,000 items, with unlimited users and 10% off for annual payment. There’s no required hardware and no setup fee before the trial – you test free for 14 days.
Do I need tags or special scanners for Scanwiz?
No. Scanwiz reads manufacturer barcodes and QR codes with the camera of any smartphone or tablet; existing USB or Bluetooth scanners work too. Scanwiz doesn’t offer automatic radio tracking like Hilti’s Bluetooth tags and gateways – location and responsibility come from bookings and assignments.
Can ON!Track manage consumables too?
Yes, but according to Hilti’s service description only from the Pro edition (quantity items). In Scanwiz, consumables with reorder levels and a shopping list are included from the Starter plan, batches and expiry dates from Growth.
Can I take my data with me from ON!Track?
According to Hilti’s service description, the customer is responsible for exporting their data; Hilti deletes it 180 days after the end of the contract. You bring the list into Scanwiz via Excel import. Tags with a barcode can still be scanned as long as the code stays readable.
